Like many other events this year also World Human Powered Speed Challenge in Battle Mountain has been canceled, but like many other events this year, also this one will have its virtual version. And it is even better in a way because way more people can somehow experience riding high speeds on SR305 road near Battle Mountain, Nevada, USA.

The event take place in your living room or garage from October 25th till November 1st, 2020. I have added these dates to our Worldwide Recumbent Calendar as well.

Thanks to the commitment of a small group of dedicated volunteers and to the simulator generously made available by Team Policumbent we are pleased to announce the first (and hopefully last) edition of the Virtual WHPSC!

Nothing can replace the experience of the real WHPSC in Battle Mountain, but we can have “virtual” fun and celebrate together as we wait to get back on SR305. The link to the simulator will be made available shortly before the start and for the whole week, anyone in the world will be able to virtually pedal on the SR305 from their bike-trainer (Bluetooth or ANT+) experimenting with different vehicles or custom settings. No ranking, no competition (they wouldn’t make sense with custom settings), but a good opportunity to test and share your results.

A conference call/party will be held on Sunday 1st November to conclude the racing week. Stay tuned and stay safe!
