Catrike is celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States by introducing limited-edition Red, White and Blue versions of its Dumont and All Road recumbent trikes.
Manufactured at the company’s factory in Orlando, Florida, the special editions combine a patriotic color scheme with the design and engineering that characterize the Catrike lineup. The commemorative finish is offered at no additional cost and recognizes America’s semiquincentennial while reflecting Catrike’s continued commitment to domestic manufacturing and innovation.
One interesting detail is that Catrike didn’t simply apply the same color layout to both models. Instead, the company adapted the scheme to each trike’s frame design by painting different frame sections in different colors. On the All Road 250, for example, the lower seat support is integrated into the main frame and is finished in red, while the separate upper seat support is painted blue. Much of this detail is hidden behind the mesh seat, making it less obvious than on the Dumont 250, but it is nevertheless a thoughtful touch that gives each model its own interpretation of the Red, White and Blue theme.
The limited-edition Red, White and Blue Dumont and All Road models are available in both standard and eCAT configurations.
According to Catrike, the commemorative editions will be offered for a limited time and remain available until July 31, 2026.
An interesting addition to the press release was a series of photos featuring members of the Catrike team, each accompanied by their role in the company and the number of years they have been with the manufacturer. It serves as another reminder of Catrike’s long-standing commitment to U.S. manufacturing. The company is well known for carrying out nearly every stage of production in-house, including tube bending, CNC machining, welding and painting. While final assembly is largely completed by its dealer network, Catrike’s investment in domestic manufacturing is both substantial and highly visible, making its production approach truly unique in the recumbent industry.
